I've posted this question on linked-in.

Would you remove any positions from your linked-in profile if they you feel they are no longer relevant to what you want to pursue going forward?

I would yes. When I was a kid I'd put bar work down. It gets to the point where it's irrelevant and is just taking up space that you could have used to promote yourself. I'm a fan of 2 or 3 page CVs max

    Okay I did a thing.

There's only one position on my linked in profile that is relevant to what I want to do as a job going forward.

Yes some of the tech doesn't exist anymore, but the principles are the same

I would as well - well I would if I didn't already do it already. Just left my IT experience in (as I work in IT), my lecturing experience (as I'm a lecturer), and my martial arts experience (as I'm also a martial arts instructor)...

However I want to remove any none relevant certifications I have, but after 15-20 years, I really can't be bother cleaning up (140+ of them), haha :D

  9. As a recruiter with ~15 years of experience, I'd say that if the job isn't relevant at all and especially if it isn't recent (within a decade), feel free to remove.

If you have short work history and the job can demonstrate that you know how to hold a job, then keep it!

Less is more. Don't let hiring managers think too much... they'll think you right out of an interview.
