Aye'll tell ye now one and all, if yer after a place with a rosey glow and the smell of safety then head to the old forge. I keep her stoked, so I do, stoked and fired and ready to go, many a night has she kept me warm and cosy, allthough the barkeeps grog does a good job too eh!

Now I'll also be a tellin' thee that I've not been squanderin' me time with old Betsy, she's bin a smokin' and chewing thru coal like a nothin' afore, but we're a ready! Those with bows and crossbows come by on the morrrow and grab a quiver full of silver tipped arrows n bolts, for those of ya who prefer something a bit more physical I've got something special, a few freshly forged half moon hatch axes, solid an' firm on the one side and with a pure sharpened stake of silver on t'other for the deadly blows, but mind that you keep yer hands of old Silvermoon proper there in the corner, she's 'eavier than she looks an' ai wouldn't a want ya damaging 'er.

If you'll be a listenin' to me then I'll add my say that Father Jim'll be my vote for the sheriff, heaven n the hells know we'll be needing some guidance. If ya could see ya way round to 'eading over at some point Father I'd be mighty pleased if you could bless me tools and me anvil, hell, every littles gotta' 'elp reet?

For those who don't believe in these beast hear me now. They're real, but there also real enough to bleed and to die. I'll be at the front lines with you my lads n lasses, they'll not take us so easily, unite and fight!

Mr Woodcutter, that business you saw between the barkeeps missus Flo and myself was all above board, she just wanted to hold my chopper, (Snarff, Snarff)

Anyway, frankly from what I have heard is once one becomes a WW they only go for human meat, and there are a few of you I ain't seen around for a while.

Having said that Father Jim has also been avoiding my shop too!!!

I'm off to show my meaty wares.

Another vote for Father Jim. Surely a man of the cloth would make a good sherif? I would have voted for Grooby the barkeeper, but any barkeep that runs out of grog and leaves his patrons with dry mouths on a night like last, they can be no defender of truth and justice in our village.

Off to catch some fish for a while.

Well, under teh circumstances, oi reckon that god-botherer would make a handy sheriff.
Where he leads, oi'll be about half a moile behind him.
    So ee's got moi vote.
Never seen a werewolf choking on a dog collar before and oi luves a bit of irony.

Of course, today only, any cart purchased for full proice comes with a free nomination for sheriff.

What time is this? I've overslept. My... I needs must be at my cutting soon.

Still no sign of that barkeep. Perhaps he should be paying me, seeing his fleas have made a meal of my flesh.

Mmmm... talking flesh, I wonder what happenings there were as I slept. That scream hier soir pure terrified me to my bones, so it did.

That butcher is keeping secrets... I can tell. It comes from me mother's side, don't you know? She always said I 'ad a sixpence... summit like that anyways. I'll be watching him.

As for Father Jim... no silver in his church, constant wanderings from his flock. But such a likeable fellow!

That carter needs be strung up quick, afore he nicks all my business and my profit... I'll do for 'im so I will. Me n Undetakey 'ad a good thing going, him with his coffs and me with quality... I mean feel the width... timbers. Then he comes along with his cheap, rotted planks. T'aint just! T'aint fair! If I get sheriff I'll see him hang.

    Anyway... to work!

"Morning my friends! Good will to all! If you need quality wares, you'll find me in the forest, you'll hear the sound... TIM... BERRRRR!"

    VOTES FOR SHERIFF
    Father Jim: 7
    Blacksmith Greg: 1
    Woodcutter Giddy: 1

56% of votes in - 7 Villagers not yet voted:
    Father Jim
    Estate Agent Eric
    Father Ludd
    Grooby the Barkeep
    Mac the Town Drunk
    Meaty Joe the Meaty Butcher
    Arro the Mysterious Traveler

One more vote for Father Jim will make it impossible for anyone else to get enough votes to take the role of Sheriff.

Side note: I had thought to do the lynching votes differently, by nominating and voting for each lynching candidate separately, but the way that this Sheriff vote was handled is probably the best way to handle lynching votes as well... whoever gets the most votes will be lynched at the end of each day.

I vote to Lyncheth thou that hath nay voted for a Sheriff!

I have been deep in prayer my brothers and sisters. Only through prayer and faith can we survive this plague that threatens to engulf Bosonville!

I expect to see all of you at mass this evening. Worship should be one of your 5-a-day in this village!

I propose a town meeting in the church at 8pm tonight (GMT) to discuss our plight and who hath turned to evil! and smite them with a lynch! We shall say a prayer for them then begin the bloody business of cleaning up this village by torch and pitch fork!

A young girl runs down the path, screaming, "My brother's been killed! My brother's been killed!" Upon investigation, it seems that the young boy that several of you have seen wandering around the forest last night has indeed been mauled by some sort of wild animal.

One of the Villagers yells, "Something must be done! Justice must be served!"

Looks like you guys need to wrap up your Sheriff vote and move on to... er... more pressing matters. :biggrin

EDIT: Hey, anytime you guys make a vote or any other sort of "official decision", please put it in bold... it'll make it easier for everyone to see at a glance. :)

I know you won't listen to the demented ramblings of a drunken sot like me, but I fear the man of the cloth has deceived you all. I've seen him preaching his deranged nonsense - it's a cover I tell you. If such creatures as have been babbled about over the last few days do indeed exist, what better cover for them than to disguise themselves as a 'man of the cloth'?

You're all far too quick to crown this zealous ne'erdowell as your appointed saviour. I prefer my heroes to be stouter of stature, stronger of fist and simpler of nature. I vote for Greg the Blacksmith.

Or does the vote of a habitual drunkard not count?

Farmer Ludd's vote for Father Jim puts him over the top. Father Jim is also Sheriff Jim, and his votes now count as two votes.

    VOTES FOR SHERIFF
    Father Jim: 8
    Blacksmith Greg: 2
    Woodcutter Giddy: 1

    Did not vote:
    Father Jim
    Estate Agent Eric
    Grooby the Barkeep
    Meaty Joe the Meaty Butcher
    Arro the Mysterious Traveler

Now, I believe you guys have a mob gathering, looking for justice for the slain child. You may begin your arguments and accusations.

EDIT: Werewolves, privately discuss amongst yourselves via PM who you want to target for your first official night kill.

It seems clear that no sooner did we mention beasts in the night, there were a number of villagers quick to quash the tales... one inparticular:

    :twogit

"He said the tales were untrue,
Thought he'd made fools of me and you,
I don't want anyone else to die,
So i'm voting for Col the scribe

It is clear to me that that irksome minstrel is trying to blot out the only voice of reason in this village and send you all plummetting into superstition and fear. It is therefore with regret that I propose that the neer'do'well Cumber should meet his comeuppance at the end of a rope
