VMware Hardware Question

    If you don't have a serial connector on your laptop would a serial to USB cable work if you wanted to use the console cable to configure the switch?

    Windows 7 and Vista no, I have to use a VM to run XP to get mine to work, right pain the backside.

    But on the flip side, it does make my rollover cable longer!

    Thats a yes to all of the above from craigie and sly(as craigie said Vista/7 can be a bit funny), although craigie its a sort of menu based terminal, nothing like a cisco setup

    Just been loaned a ML110 from work, will use that badboy for my SAN.

    Need to get this 70-649 exam out the way then get 'balls deep' in the VMware stuff.
