On a related note, perhaps the badge for sponsored premiums should be different to show it (and link to the profile of the sponsor).

And maybe sponsors should get a kudos badge or something.

Just some ideas.

 

Keep in mind that having a different badge could, for some people, be a constant advertisement that says, "I'm a premium member, but I couldn't afford it or didn't want to pay for one myself." So, in my opinion, there's no reason why sponsored premium members should be singled out. That'd be like making an adopted child wear an "adopted" badge because they weren't a son or daughter by natural birth.

If you want to give a "kudos" badge out, that's fine... that simply shows that they are caring enough to give extra financially. But please don't brand people that do not or cannot give financially.

 

Fair point, I suppose. I was more thinking along the lines of the reasoning that someone valued their contribution to the site so much, they wished to reward them with a years membership.
