Thanks again Dave, it was quite a suprise to see me go green as I was Pming Si at the time asking him why I had gone green as I hadn't sent of the cheque because my bloody bank hasn't sent me a new book yet.

I think its a good idea to sponsor people to become premium members as it could encourage some people to stay around instead of asking a question after registering then disappearing nevr to be heard of again.

    Thanks very much

Thanks SimonV for a really great site :thumbleft and the cheque will get sent to SI as soon as bloody book comes.

Are things that bad at work eh?:blink

There used to be a guy who said the same thing about working in IT. Hated the job, he has left this place 3 times but for some reason always comes back. The first time he was on temporary contract, he left for 3 months came back after his new job didn't work out in landscape gardening. Stayed in IT Depart as a Hardware technician for a month left came back, winge how much he hated the job but need more money for the mortgage. Signed up for full time contract and left after 4 months:blink. I have just been told his new job didn't work out again and wants to come back??

I think what a waste of time and training, also there as so many people out there looking to get into IT because they like working in IT. So why does this guy who hates working in IT get so many chances (Well I let you into a little secret - his wife is head of finance, which gives him a foot through the door):dry

Ahh well better stop moaning and get back to work!:biggrin

my job sucks to say the least.

It sounds like that guy doesn't know what he wants to do, I could do IT all day & night if it was my job I don't sleep much so I would think I am a perfect candidate for doing server rebuilds late into the night/early morning :D

What a joke, the head of finance lets someone walk into and out of a job whenever they want. Tell her to sort it out next time you see her* :biggrin

hhhmmm am not sure where to post this question after all it's about premium membership but it's also a suggestion. So should it go under suggestion section???:blink

Anyway the question/suggestion is can we setup a sponsorship programme, say every month or even three months?? Maybe run it along side the awards. A thread asking everyone to suggest a member here on CF who they think should be sponsorship/awarded a premium membership. Then have vote on it?

    What do you think?8)

Might have a limitation on it so the recipient can only win once per year (or other predetermined amount of time). That'd keep it from being something where two or three people win every single time.

Good Idea, it could maybe go hand in hand with the advisor or members member awards or something like that
