    Don't get me wrong, there are things I don't make public but for instance I don't mind putting pictures of my kids on line but I don't tell people when I am going on holiday etc.

    I am not a prolific Facebook poster, I use that more for keeping in touch with former Army comrades than anything else.

    LinkedIn is for my professional life which I use to the best of it's ability.

    I absolutely agree mate that's exactly how I feel. To be honest I use Facebook as my free photo store of my fav pics, not everything course. Like anything common sense goes a long way doesn't it so just like you say, posting woo hoo my house is empty and can be burgled at your convenience between these dates probably isn't wise ha ha

    Oddly, in work this week (the one day I went in), we spoke about a chap we knew who put an extremely dodgy facebook post online, which was then screen shot, and used to create a dummy account that was then emailed to all the top brass in a company to say look at the kind of person you have working for you. True story, mentioning no names to protect the innocent
